L.T. McGuinNess Office

L.T. McGuinness have resided at the end of Francis Place for decades in an office building constructed by the Companies founder. Due to an ever-increasing workload, LTM have undergone rapid expansion in recent times. Acquiring additional office space became a priority.

A decision was made to remain in the original building and expand the office area into an existing sub tenancy. This also meant that office functions would be located over two levels. Therefore, achieving effective work flow connectivity between operations became a priority. It was also important to ensure LTM’s new home reflected their history, company ethos and their commitment to quality and leading-edge design.

The Francis Place frontage has been entirely remodelled to create a welcoming entry. A deep cedar clad sun louvre screen provides shade and shelter along the western edge. The double height entry atrium is flooded with natural light and connects to all office zones. A new cedar clad sculptured stair connects to the upper level. Flexible open plan office zones are uncluttered and functional. The completed build consciously provides a pragmatic design response to support the future growth of one of Wellington’s most respected and trusted construction companies.
