With three decades as the Lead Architect over a varied collection of projects, Ian has a proven history of experience in Architectural Design and Construction Management.

Passionate about design and documentation, Ian is able to translate design and articulate it into built form. He has extensive knowledge in Institutional and Public Buildings, Interior Fit-outs, Residential Alterations, Adaptive Re-use, Commercial, Retail, and Hospitality designs. Ian is passionate about form and detail and this, alongside his wealth of design knowledge, can leverage any project type.

Ian has led on numerous Judicial projects over several years and his design input to this sector has been substantial. As a keen and successful sportsman Ian is able to seek a strategic platform based upon high performance initiatives. He asks a lot of himself and leaves his mark on every project.

Ian has been the Lead Architect on a number of award-winning projects, including the Hastings Courthouse, FG Smith Eatery, and the Hawke’s Bay Business Hub (previously an old tobacco warehouse), now a vibrant contemporary workplace based in the heart of Ahuriri.
