Shana has been practicing in Queenstown since 2013 and has been a Registered Architect since 2018. With over 16 years in the industry, Shana brings a valuable skill set to DGSE, covering various typologies with a focus on high-performance design. Her project capabilities include creative conceptual design, detailing Passive House residences, Masterplanning for resorts and retirement villages, and work on reuse and commercial developments.

As a certified NZGBC Homestar Assessor, Shana has completed numerous Homestar assessments for Kiwibuild developers and Kāinga Ora. She is very involved with the NZGBC professional community and co-authored" A Practical Design Guide to Lower Carbon, Healthier Homes" – a Homestar Design Guide. Shana is also the Chair of the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) Southern Branch.

With a passion for design outcomes which prioritise environmental, economic, social, health, and wellbeing aspects, Shana is driven to achieve the best outcomes for the client and the built environment. She values connections and a collaborative design process, developing trust with clients, consultants, and other team members.
