Zain joined DGSE as a recent graduate, having completed his Master of Landscape Architecture bringing a fresh perspective to our Landscape team. Through his studies, he developed a particular interest in understanding how the spatial aspects of landscape and the built environment contribute to our overall physical and mental wellbeing. Zain is a driven individual who is ready to take on any challenges in his work, with a particular interest in housing and education projects.

Growing up in the rural town of Gore, Zain spent much of his childhood playing in the local creeks and rivers in his community, which allowed him to recognise the importance of communities and their relationship to the landscape, particularly local waterways. In his work, Zain aims to design landscapes that balance function and aesthetics while also creating meaningful places that communicate a sense of social, cultural, and environmental importance within the wider community.
