To foster sport participation and achievement, Pelorus Trust identified a need to subsidise and co-locate sporting organisations in an environment to promote synergy and resource sharing. Working closely with Hutt City Council, a site was identified to accommodate this vision.
A simple palette of glass, profiled steel, and rendered plastered elements, clad the exterior of the sportshouse. Internal space is rationally organised across a simple planning grid, with a large reception and multi-purpose function and conference zone separating two open plan office areas.
A considered integrated interior design solution expounds colour, light, and energy efficiency through carefully crafted detailing.
