Tauranga Masterplan

This green-field site located within the Tauranga City limits was previously earmarked for community sports fields. The size and location of the site offers a unique opportunity to establish a destination sub-division which embraces community, housing typology, diversity, and sustainable transport options, with direct access to cycleways and the CBD.

The Master Plan works to establish a sense of place, with a gateway entrance, central ‘heart’ landscaped space, and a series of pocket parks and quiet green spaces linking different housing zones.

Detached housing plots form the perimeter of the development, transitioning to adjacent green space. A combination of duplex and terraced housing typologies are orientated to work with the gently contoured landscape and view opportunities.

Shared pedestrian and vehicle laneways reduce the number of garages to the road reserve and create opportunities for social interaction and recreation.
