Unitec: Architecture School
DGSE, in association with Oculus, were engaged by Unitec to deliver a comprehensive Master Plan of their 58ha site in Mt Albert.
Our engagement involved consolidating the institution's education facilities into an efficient 10ha education precinct and providing a Master Plan for the remaining site to maximise sustainable housing and commercial redevelopment.
This exercise included 3D physical and computer modelling, contextual/historical assessment, cultural recognition, site circulation, and road hierarchy planning. District Plan rules were challenged and a Unitary Plan submission on behalf of Unitec was made to Auckland Council.
